Dreamscheme Project

On Sunday 6th February, a small group of young people from Kendal took part in a Dreamscheme project with Youth Presence. ‘Dreamscheme’ is a project funded by Cumbria Youth Alliance which enables small groups of young people to carry out volunteering activities which benefit the community. Together, the young people decided they wanted to help support victims of domestic violence. They prepared 15 bags of kindness full of essential toiletries for women and 15 bags of kindness for children.

Each bag was lovingly filled with items they decided upon and shopped for. Each young person took real pride in preparing the bags and were really enthused by the opportunity this project gave them to make a difference in their community. Youth Presence contacted the charity Springfield and delivered the bags to them, so that they might share the bags with those who are in need.
